Some people love that fresh taste of coffee in the morning. For many, it’s that first sip or even the aroma that get’s them started. Over the past several years, the coffee shop has become a popular stop for many. Some will visit their local coffee store everyday before going to work. Why is that? What is so different about a place that would attract them everyday? Is it the coffee or something else that attracts so many? Like the person who goes to the coffee shop initially for the coffee, many families choose OCS because of the fact that Christ is the center of everything we do. And once you are here, you see that manifested in actions of students, teachers and other families. You also began to sense that there are other reasons for having your children at OCS. We believe we have an authentic environment, with a distinctive education, which leads to a transformational experience.
What goes into making that experience is what we call our OCS Latte Factors. As a successful coffee shop will have factors that lead to their success, we believe our Latte Factors do the same for us as a school.

Families, who attend different churches and live in different communities coming together weekly to be a part of a unified community of believers. OCS doesn’t have the ability to be a neighborhood school…we attract families from all over. That’s part of our strength and that is one of the latte factors of this school.
People There are no perfect people and this is certainly not a perfect place. However, we do serve the one who was and is perfect and we work to follow his example. A recent parent survey revealed how much OCS parents knew the people of Oakland Christian School loved their child. The people, faculty, staff, students and families make up one of the Latte Factors of Oakland Christian School.
Education OCS has developed a curriculum that presents our students with the opportunity to perform at the highest academic levels and to prepare them for any college they would like to attend. Our ACT test scores remain at high achievement rates surpassing the state scores by an average of 1.5 points and the national average by 2 points. As we continue to see students excelling on state and national tests, we are pleased that the curriculum we offer lends to these achievements. These teachers do not teach to the test, they teach the curriculum.
