At Oakland Christian, there is a wide range of student activities available throughout the school year! With the support of teachers, faculty, staff, and parent volunteers, students and families participate in everything from onsite assemblies, parties, and presenters to off-site field trips, retreats, dances, and service opportunities.

Oakland Christian 4th - 6th graders have the opportunity to question, tinker, experiment, and play like the natural scientists and engineers that they are! VEX competitions foster these skills and capitalize on the motivational effects of competitions and robotics to help all students identify as STEM learners.

Ski Club

 

9th - 12th Grade Vex IQ Robotic Team

In a little over five years, the OCS Robotics team has become a world-class competitor, competing at the VEX World Championships for the second year in a row. This prestigious event brings hundreds of the top VEX robotics teams together from around the world. OCS Robotics is the longest-running competitive season at the school. Students meet nearly all year long to prepare for competitions and successfully made it to the Michigan State Championship over the last three years. The OCS Robotics teams have won over 20 awards at competitions including 12 tournament championship awards and 2 distinguished awards at the State Championship. Nearly 50 students have participated in the OCS robotics program over the past 5 years with an average of 20 students participating each year.

Annual Prayer Walk 

Parents, teachers, students, and staff gather to worship and pray as we dedicate the upcoming school year to The Lord and ask Him to bless it!

Annual OCS Hoedown

This is a school-wide event full of fellowship, music, and family fun. Held at a local farm, attendees enjoy a petting zoo, hayrides, refreshments, games, and more!

Spirit Week 

 

Daddy Daughter Dance

Typically hosted near Valentine's Day, Dads or special guests are invited to attend a fun evening of dancing, games, and refreshments with their daughters. 

Mother and Son Bowling

Every year around Mother's Day, moms and sons are invited for an afternoon of fun, food, fellowship, and bowling!

Muffins with Mom 

Typically hosted near Mother's Day, Moms or special guests are invited to grab a muffin, coffee, or juice, and spend some time with their child before school.

Donuts with Dad

Typically hosted during the month of February, Dads or special guests are invited to grab a donut, coffee, or juice, and spend some time with their child before school.

 

Elementary Day Camp

Elementary students are transported to a local camp where they engage in fun activities, chapel, and lunch! 

Grandparents' Day

Grandparents (or Grand-grandfriends) are invited to our Annual Elementary Grandparents' Day celebration where grandparents visit their grandchild’s classroom for activities in the classroom, refreshments, and musical performances.
