OCS Alumnus named to Oakland County 2017 Elite 40 under 40 Class
Dustin McClellan (’08), has been named to the Oakland County Executive’s 2017 Elite 40 under 40 Class. From nearly 400 applications and nominations, a panel of judges selected the top 40 young professionals and thought leaders who live or work in Oakland County. The honorees have achieved excellence in their field and contributed to the quality of life in their communities.
“I am continually amazed at the caliber of young leaders we have, “ County Executive L. Brooks Patterson said. “We think the whole class is superb. The future of our county is very bright and the region is in good hands.”
McClellan serves as Director of The Power Company Kids Club in Pontiac, a mission devoted to empowering children and building champions in the inner city. He leads the charge of investing in the lives of 1,400 children weekly alongside a volunteer staff of 40.
Rescued from the streets of inner city Pontiac, Dustin understands the power of our life transforming God. His greatest desire is to see that all people find this transformation for their lives as well.
After graduating from OCS in 2008, Dustin spent two years assisting in the launch of EPIC Church, a church plant on the east side of Kansas City. He returned home in 2010 to be a part of leading the work God is doing in the inner cities of America.
