OCS receives Education Advocate Award at Auburn Hills Chamber of Commerce Silver & Gold Awards Program

Oakland Christian School was one of 19 award winners announced at the 5th annual Auburn Hills Chamber of Commerce Silver & Gold Awards Brunch.  OCS received the Baker College Education Advocate Silver Award in recognition of the “organization who best embraces and promotes education, training and development.” 

"OCS is proud to be recognized as an advocate for education by the Auburn Hills Chamber and its membership”, said Scott Samuels, Head of School at OCS.  “When the award was presented, our elementary language immersion program was specifically mentioned as an example of innovation and quality in education."  

Thirteen Silver Awards were given to businesses or organizations with “sterling qualities.”  These awards were sponsored by businesses reflecting the values each award represents.  Winners were chosen by the Chamber’s nominating committee, and include:

  • City of Auburn Hills Business Success Story: Patti Engineering
  • DBusiness Emerging Leader: Brandon Kidder, The Family Table
  • Faurecia Diversity Pacesetter: Plante Moran
  • Flint Bishop International Airport Smart Economic Award: ABB Robotics
  • Moceri Companies Legacy Award: Henry V. Knight, Auburn Hills City Council
  • Oakland University Innovator of the Year: Hirotec America
  • Palace Sports & Entertainment Game Changer: Munetrix
  • Stella Wealth Management of Raymond James Higher Standard Award: William E. Pilchak, Pilchak & Cohen, PC

 The Gold Awards, sponsored by Oakland University Credit Union, are given to the business or individual that exhibits the “gold standard” of volunteering, outstanding service to the community and support of the Chamber. Award winners include:
