The Spiritual Life program at Oakland Christian School is driven by a passion to instruct and challenge students to know Christ and to make Him known.  Our banner is “Coram Deo,” a Latin phrase which means to live life under the gaze of God.  We hope to encourage our students as Paul encouraged the Corinthians … “whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” Col 3:17

All Spiritual Life programming, whether Bible classes, retreats, service projects or Chapel is prepared and done with a purpose in mind, to disciple each student to:

  • Think Biblically About Life’s Issues
  • Care Deeply for the Needs of Others
  • Walk Wisely in the Market Place of Life

Hear From Our Parents, Teachers, and Alumni

As a graduate of Oakland Christian, our daughter has repeatedly shared with us how well prepared she has been for all of her college classes.  More importantly, however, her identity is rooted in Christ, and she has impacted her world in ways only the solid foundation developed from her time at Oakland Christian would allow.

OCS radiates the love of Christ and the law of the Spirit of life in Christ.  These two factors empower the school to nurture the whole student to become his best within our walls, at home and within the social context of diverse communities and eventually the world.
- Dr. Joe Cilluffo, Bible Teacher
Our children are being prepared daily to spend their lives serving the Lord.  It is a privilege to send them to a school that not only focuses on the academic side of the child, but one that invests in their spiritual life and character.
