The Oakland Christian School Board consists of eleven men and women from a wide variety of occupations, backgrounds, and student age representation. We seek to serve the school strategically, subject to God’s direction, with a Christ-centered spirit of unity. Members are selected by the Board each year to serve three-year terms that begin and end in the month of September, and the Board considers both new and returning Board members to fill open positions.

Deep Hope: My deep hope is that each and every OCS student would know they were made in the image of God and that he perfectly and uniquely designed them for the purpose he has for their life. That as they build a strong foundation on the Word of God during their time at OCS, they would be encouraged to use and strengthen the God-given gifts he has placed inside of them to walk out their calling and be Heaven’s ambassadors here on Earth. My greatest desire for the students and staff is that when they reflect on their time spent at OCS, they see that their experiences in academics, athletics, administrations and events were all centered around the name of Jesus.

Deep Hope: My greatest desire for OCS is to see students, parents, faculty, staff, and administration alike pursuing a deeper relationship with our Lord as we each strive together to build, equip, strengthen, teach, and serve. It is my sincere prayer and deep hope that as we train up these precious leaders of tomorrow, we are not only equipping them academically, but also emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Our children can and will impact our community, our state, and our nation, all for the Kingdom, and they will not depart from the calling that God has placed on their precious lives.

Deep Hope: Oakland Christian school teaching from a biblical perspective provides definitive truth to students who are the young salt and light into the world. To prepare the young minds and protect them from an increasingly immoral world that is continually attacking Biblical values. The student's faith should be strengthened through the educational process of learning science, math, and history. Seeing God is very real and his fingerprints can be undeniably seen through intelligent design. This becomes part of the foundation, which their faith is built upon. Helping the students understand they have a Godly purpose. They are not an accident and they have amazing worth to God and they do not need society’s approval to feel valued or validate their existence.
Kris Lucido has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Western Michigan University. Kris and Sebastian, her husband, have been married for 32 years. Their seven children are all Oakland Christian alumni. In the last year, she has been blessed with five grandchildren. The Lucido family worships at Oakland Church.
Deep Hope: That each student will know their identity in Christ and walk in the confidence of being a child of a King! I pray they discover the Lord’s promises and walk in authority.
