Registration Now Open!

Are you already planning your 2023 amazing summer for your inquisitive, energetic, and athletic summer campers? We have a number of outstanding opportunities for students to continue to grow in their interests and abilities or try something new.

  • Childcare is available before (7 - 9 AM) and after (3 - 6 PM) our camps for $7 an hour as needed 
  • You must pre-register for any childcare needs
  • Camps are available to our OCS students and non-OCS students
  • You will get an email confirmation within one week of signing up and paying for your camps

Travel Camp #1

Dates: May 30-June 2

Time: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Camp Leader: Julie Prantera and Ryan Ulferts

Cost: $220 or $55 for each camp

Tuesday: Urban Air (trampoline park, laser tag, pizza, and video games) 

Wednesday: Arts and Crafts Day at Painted Pot

Thursday: LegoLand 

Friday: Greenfield Village

Bring a sack lunch Wednesday-Friday. Students can attend for 1 day, multiple days, or all week. Travel around Michigan and have loads of fun.  

Spanish Camp #1

Date: May 30-June 2

Times: 9 AM - 3 PM

Camp Leader: Micah James

Cost: $220 

Spanish summer camp is designed to bring fun to the fundamentals of Spanish! Use your Spanish to navigate virtually the 21 Spanish-speaking countries. Latin rhythms have long powered American and global pop music, explore together everything from salsa and merengue to Latin-influenced jazz and sing along in Spanish. Explore global cuisine, watch an intense Futbol match, read Messi local news, and learn about their media. This camp promises to be full of FUN.

Amazing Art Camp

Date: June 5-June 9

Times: 9:00am - 3:00pm

Camp Leader: Lyndsay Johnson

Cost: $275

Do you have a budding artist at home dying to get their hands into paints, clay, and all kinds of art supplies? Send them to art camp for a chance to explore all types of art and have great fun with friends.  

Travel Camp #2

Date: June 12-16

Times: 9:00am - 3:00pm

Cost $275 or $55 for each day

Monday Silver Woods Farms (Learning about horses; taking a carriage ride) and Blake's Orchard Funland (petting farm and Jumping Pillows etc.)

STEM / Technology Summer Camp

Date: June 19-23

Times: 9:00am - 3:00pm

Camp Leader: Tamara Riches

Cost: $275

Come explore the wonders of science and technology during our week-long STEM summer fun. During our time together,  we will explore hands-on activities like the egg drop challenge, learn how to create with robotics, and creative movie creation time.  We will work in teams to create and build together.  Come and create and investigate this summer with us.  

Peter Pan Theatre Camp

Date: June 26-30

Times: 9:00am - 3:00pm

Cost: $275

Peter Pan Theatre Camp is an exciting camp introducing characters, costumes, acting and opening our imagination as we enjoy presenting our version of “Peter Pan”. Camp includes a field trip to Meadowbrook Theatre with a backstage tour, Cool Yo treat, T-shirt and much more. After our show Friday night at 7:00 pm, we will enjoy a cast party as we celebrate our accomplishments. 

3 Day Intro to Sports Camp

Date: July 5-7

Times: 9:00am - 3:00pm

Camp Leader: Joshua Prantera

Cost: $165

If you’re looking to get up and get active, then the Introduction to Sports camp is for you! You’ll have the chance to learn about and play sports like soccer, basketball and hockey. You won’t want to miss out on games like dodgeball, steal the bacon, cops and robbers, water activities with your friends and more. Join us for 3 days of fun and exercise.  

Cake Decorating and Game Camp

Date: July 10-14

Times: 9:00am - 3:00pm

Camp Leader: Julie and Aleshia Prantera

Cost: $275

During this fun camp, we will learn how to decorate cookies, cupcakes, and speciality cakes! We will learn how to make flowers, write, use fruit, and make fun decorations with icing. We will also enjoy water games, kickball, four square, Chess, Sorry, Rummikub, Monopoly, Cards, etc. This camp promises to be full of FUN. We will be sharing our baked goods with our families!

Kids Cooking Dinner Camp

Date: July 17-21

Times: 9:00am - 3:00pm

Camp Leader: Lyndsay Johnson

Cost: $350

Tired after a loooong day? Don't want to cook dinner? Would you LOVE for your child to learn how to cook dinner AND bring it home to you? Then sign up for "KIDS COOKING DINNER!". Your child will learn some wonderful cooking skills and have fun doing it!  As another great aspect of this camp,  your child will come home with a meal for 4 that they have prepared EVERY NIGHT of the week of camp!!   So...NO need for cooking from any adults in the house! Your child will do it all for you this week! 

Authors, Illustrators and Animal Camp

Date: July 24-28  

Times: 9:00am - 3:00pm

Camp Leader: Amy Dixon and Author Julie Prantera 

Cost: $275

In this camp, we will be WILD about books and even writing our own! Come read, write, draw, and enjoy creating together.  We will learn more about our favorite authors and illustrators - how do they write books we enjoy and create the pictures that tell the story? Whether you love fiction or nonfiction, books with no pictures or stories told only in pictures, this camp will take you on adventures near and far.  We will be speaking with real authors, trying out different techniques, taking a field trip to a library, and ending the week with a publishing celebration. Halfway through each day, campers will switch (K-2, 3-5 will be in two groups) into learning about God’s WILD amazing animals, taking virtual tours, studying animal classification, various habitats around the world, and much more. Campers will have a lot of opportunities for Animal Art and fun. Thursday we will take a field trip to see animals in Armada at Blakes Funland. If you love animals and want to try your hand at being an author and or illustrator join us for this amazing camp!

Friday: Seymour Lake Park, Ice Cream and Splash Pad 

Bring your lunch each day.  Travel around Michigan and have loads of fun.  

Spanish Camp #2

Date: July 31- August 4 

Times: 9:00am - 3:00pm

Camp Leader: Micah James 

Cost: $275 

Kids will have a fantastic time creating, baking, and eating foods from different countries around the world through Spanish Camp! Come learn, explore, and enjoy foods and treats from wonderful places we will "visit" around the globe. Children can naturally acquire language through traveling each day to different Spanish-speaking countries and exposure to fun games and memorable food-cooking experiences in an immersive environment. At Spanish Camp, we stimulate natural language acquisition by exposing learners to comprehensible language input through hands-on repetition of high-frequency vocabulary and phrases each day. Campers will also enjoy the Detroit Zoo on the first day of camp!

 

Fire Up Cheerleading Camp

Date: August 7 - 11

Times: 9:00am - 3:00pm

Camp Leaders: Julie Prantera and Tiffany Prantera

Cost : $275

Come and learn chants, cheers and a dance to cheer on OCS teams! Have a fun week of exercise, friends and tumbling too. We will make posters for the hallways to encourage our OCS teams.  On Friday,  at 2:45pm your daughters will be performing a routine that they learn throughout the week! We have T-shirts and bows that will be sent home on Thursday for the girls to wear on Friday. If you cannot make the performance, we will video record it and make sure to send it to you. This camp will be a lot of fun, cheer and friendships.

High School Summer Art Intensive

Date: July 24 - August 4

Times: 9 AM - 3 PM

Grades: 9 - 12

Instructor: Diane Heath

Cost: $1000 for OCS Students and $1200 for Non-OCS Students 

The summer intensive is designed to help students develop skills to prepare themselves for college and competition portfolios. The intensive is taught by art professionals and is a rigorous program. Students from grades 8 to college can choose from two program options:

1. Entertainment Arts: Students will create portfolio-based artwork relative to the popular field of Entertainment Arts. This career path includes animation, game design, concept art, and film. Students will work on - 2D & 3D character design, environments, and props. New for 2023, students will create a short animation using the app “Flip-a-clip” Students will bring their own digital drawing tablet or laptop to create work using photoshop, procreate, and other programs.

2. Portrait Painting: Students will create portfolio-based artwork relative to portrait drawing and painting. This career path supports illustration, character development, and fashion. Students will work on the anatomy of the skull, color mixing, and composition. New this year students will focus on portrait painting as a primary focus, enabling students to create a more comprehensive study.
