Waitpool Information

Oakland Christian School values our small class sizes, low student to teacher ratios, and individualized learning opportunities, therefore each grade has a predetermined capacity. We often have a large number of prospective students, and the number of applicants can exceed the number of seats available in a specific grade level. Therefore, qualified applicants not selected during our early enrollment period will be placed into our wait pool. As spaces become available, we will refer to our wait pool and select students (based on a variety of factors) for admittance. Please know that seats may become available anytime throughout a school year, but there are seasons to note in the wait pool process:

Early Enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year: November 1, 2023 - February 10, 2024

Applications open on November 1, 2023, and completed applications (with completed admissions testing) will be reviewed and enrollment decisions will be given on the following dates:

December 15, January 17, February 7

Applications will be reviewed holistically and our enrollment team will make enrollment decisions based on best fit. The enrollment team will be looking for students who can succeed academically at Oakland Christian as well as a family's faith compatibility with Oakland Christian's mission.

Re-enrollment Deadline for Current Families: February 8, 2024

Current families have until February 8 to re-enroll their students for the following year. After this date has passed, we will know how many remaining seats are available for new applicants. Students who were previously placed in the wait pool will be considered for enrollment when seats become available.

Tuition payments for the 2024-25 year begin: May of 2024

The first tuition payment for the upcoming school year is due. At this time, additional openings may become available. 

Ongoing Open Enrollment: June - August, 2024

Families can remain in the wait pool until the new academic year begins. Seats do often become available throughout the summer for various reasons.
