  • Winter Serve Day

    The OCS community will come together to serve on Friday, February 14 (Valentine’s Day) from 8:30–10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in partnership with WAVE Project. WAVE Project serves individuals experiencing homelessness and others in need across Metro Detroit through mobile shower services, a mobile clothing closet, the Macomb County Warming Shelter, and food pantries. Each year, they provide emergency shelter along with thousands of showers, clothing items, food items, and hygiene essentials.

    There are many ways to participate—by donating items, serving on the day of the event, and praying. Below is a list of donation items by grade level to help guide student contributions:
    Pre-K: band-aids and travel size Q-tips      
    1st: Gallon Ziplock bags
    2nd: Warm socks
    3rd: ChapStick
    4th: Travel deodorant
    5th: Travel body wash/soap and washcloth
    6th: Hand warmers
    7th: Body wipes/ dude wipes
    8th: Floss and toothbrush
    9th: Toe warmers
    10th: Travel shampoo
    11th: Travel lotion
    12th: Travel toothpaste
    Staff: Hats and Gloves

  • Daddy Daughter Dance

    The PTF invites you to the Enchanted Forest Daddy Daughter Dance
    Saturday, February 21 | 5:00–9:00 PM
    Petruzzello’s Banquet & Conference Center - 6950 Rochester Road, Troy, MI 48085
    Dads, uncles, grandpas, and other special guests are all welcome to attend!
    The PTF is seeking donations for the basket raffle, which will take place during the dance.
    Please see the sign-up link below to participate. 1 service hour is earned for every $20 spent on donated items.
    Please note that tickets for the dance are limited.

  • Dine/Play to Donate at Dave & Busters!

    No school? No problem! Join us at Dave & Buster’s in Utica on Monday, February 16 for food, games, and fun—all while supporting OCS. Twenty percent of all food, non-alcoholic beverages, and game play purchases will go back to our school. See you there!

  • Re-enrollment for current families is now open. Open Enrollment to the public will begin on February 10, so we strongly encourage you to complete re-enrollment by February 9 to guarantee your student a spot for the 2026-27 school year. There will be no re-enrollment fee if you re-enroll by February 9, 2026. A non-refundable $150 re-enrollment fee per student will be assessed after February 9.

    For families who receive tuition assistance, a new Tuition Assistance application is required to be completed for the 2026-27 school year. The amount of OCS tuition assistance funds is limited, therefore families should complete their applications early. The tuition assistance application can be accessed HERE.

  • Elementary Parent Appreciation Chapel

    Join us on Wednesday, February 4 from 8:15–9:00 AM in the main gym. Students will lead worship and we will spend our chapel time honoring our wonderful parents. 

     

     

Middle School News and Events

  • Middle school students are invited to our 9-Square Tournament & Café on Friday, February 6 from 2:30–4:30 p.m. in the MP! Play in the 9-Square games, cheer on friends, or relax in the café with a snack and drink. There’s something for everyone! Come join the fun!

  • Clothes Bin Donations

    Support our school and the environment by donating to the green Clothes Bin®, located in the circle lot on the north end of campus!

    Recycling textiles keeps millions of pounds of clothing and household items out of landfills, conserves resources, and reduces pollution. You can drop off clothing (any condition), shoes, and household textiles like blankets, towels, and sheets.

    Every contribution supports NHS, NJHS, and Student Council!

  • Ski Club 2025

    Oakland Christian Ski Club Is Back!

    The OCS Ski Club is returning for the 2025 season at Pine Knob Ski & Snowboard Resort! Open to students, families, and friends, the club offers great local skiing, quality instruction, and convenient rentals through Rochester Ski Company. Lessons are on Fridays and begin at 5pm! Arrive around 4:30 for check in.
    Register by November 30 to avoid the $25 late fee that begins December 1.

    Join us as we explore Dr. Michael Heiser’s book The Unseen Realm, diving into the supernatural worldview of the Bible and how it helps us better understand God’s plan and the spiritual world around us.

  • Registration Now Open for 25-26 Athletics

    Get Involved with PTF!
    Parents are invited to join the Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF), a group dedicated to supporting our teachers and building community at OCS. Meetings are held on Thursday mornings at 8:00 AM in the Elementary Library. Whether you’re a returning parent or new to OCS, we’d love to have you join us—your voice and involvement make a difference!

Originally in Spanish and now translated into English, all proceeds support our Dominican Mission and our sister school, Manantial de Vida, in Juan Tomás, República Dominicana.

  • Kroger Community Rewards

    Oakland Christian's PTF has joined with Kroger as a Community Rewards Partner. Each time you use your registered Kroger card, Kroger will donate a portion of your bill to the OCS PTF, with no cost to you! Click HERE to register your card and select Oakland Christian School. This is an easy, no-cost way to help support the PTF. Please contact ptf@oaklandchristian.com with any questions you may have. 

  • There are many ways for families to get involved at Oakland Christian School. Volunteering supports our faculty and staff, helps your family connect with the school community, and shows your child your commitment to quality education. Each family is required to contribute 20 service hours per year, tracked from May 1 to April 30. Hours reset on May 1 for the new school year.   • The Peer Tutoring program at Oakland Christian School provides students with extra academic support from fellow OCS students who are in good standing and eager to help others succeed. Tutoring is available Monday–Thursday from 3:20–3:50 p.m. The cost is $10 per session, paid directly to the tutor.
