OCS Commemorative Tree Campaign
This spring, as we complete our parking expansion and continue to enhance and beautify our campus, we are excited to announce the planting of 87 new trees at the front of our school. Here is a link to a rendering of where each one will be placed.
As part of this initiative, we invite our community to take part in the OCS Commemorative Tree Campaign — a meaningful way for individuals, families, and organizations to honor someone special, remember a loved one, express gratitude, or celebrate a significant life event.
All honorees will be prominently recognized on a commemorative plaque displayed on campus, serving as a lasting tribute within our growing and vibrant community.
If you would like to take part in this legacy-building effort, please complete this form.

Purchase your copy of Historias desdichas III
Historias desdichas III was written by Señora Frasa’s Spanish IV class in 2024 and continues the narration of compelling, real-life stories that have become the hallmark of the series. With this edition, the authors take their readers all over the world, a round-trip expedition that would span well over 18,000 miles. And yet through the impact of storytelling, year after year these students and their teacher have seen the world get a little smaller -- one bridge at a time. Come join them as they take you on a journey where tragedies are turned into triumphs, as fractured lives are made whole by the power of redemption.
The books are $12.99 on Amazon and can be purchased HERE; however, you can also purchase them directly from Señora. When you give her $12 (cash only, please), you will receive Historias desdichas III and a copy of the original Historias desdichas for free (while supplies last). We also have a few copies of Historias desdichas II left, and so for $20, you can get a copy of all three books. These books were originally written in Spanish but have been translated to English so that everyone who wants to can read it. All proceeds go to the many needs of our Dominican Mission, as well as the needs of our sister school Manantial de Vida in Juan Tomás, República Dominicana.

There are so many ways for families to get involved and make a difference at Oakland Christian School. Parental efforts support the energies of the faculty and staff and enable them to keep their focus on the quality of our educational program. Volunteering also gives your family a way to become more fully connected in the school community and helps your child see your commitment to quality education. Oakland Christian requires each family to contribute 20 service hours per year, which are counted from May 1 to April 30 for each school year. This means that on April 30 each year, the total hours served are calculated, and on May 1 hours will begin counting for the next school year. For more information on opportunities for service and on recording your hours, click HERE.
